The ladies course record of 70 has remained unbroken at Wollaton Park Golf Club, Nottinghamshire since 2005.
During the Nottinghamshire County Championship held at Wollaton Park in May this year, the record was smashed by two shots by Libby Kilbride who was only 2 years old when the previous record was set. Libby, 14, from Worksop, was playing in her first County Championship for Nottinghamshire and shot 68 gross reducing her handicap from 4 to 3 and gaining a place in the County team.
Caroline Hart, Lady Captain of Wollaton Park, presented Libby with a framed scorecard as a memento of the day and will be arranging for another to be put in position in the clubhouse to commemorate the new record.
